What is a B2B ecommerce platform?
A B2B ecommerce platform sells to businesses rather than consumers: every wholesale customer has their own prices and terms, orders are large and ship in parts, and customers need a fresh price list regularly. In Elbuz the wholesale business type runs each sale as a deal, from the request and quote to shipment in batches, and prices for customer groups and dealer price lists are calculated from the same catalog.
How is a B2B platform different from a regular online store?
A regular online store shows one price to every shopper and ships each order at once. A B2B platform shows each customer group its own price, keeps the quote and contract inside the deal, and lets one order ship in several batches, with payment arriving in parts. A customer who buys once a quarter is not marked dormant until 120 days pass without a purchase.
How much does a B2B platform cost?
There is no separate fee for wholesale features: they are part of one Elbuz plan with the catalog, supplier price lists and CRM. Plans start at €87 a month; the price depends on the number of products and users, one user is in the base plan. The first 14 days are free. See pricing.
How do I set customer-specific pricing?
Set a price for a customer group — wholesale, dealers, dropshippers — with a rule in Elbuz: based on the price field you choose, with a markup or discount, for a category, brand or price range. After every new supplier price list these prices are recalculated automatically and go into your dealer price lists. In a store on Elbuz CMS a logged-in wholesale buyer also sees their group's price, but there it is currently set in the store admin.
How do I send a wholesale price list to dealers automatically?
Put a price list template on a schedule: Elbuz builds an XLSX or CSV file from current prices and stock — with the price of that customer group — and publishes it at a permanent link, uploads it to the dealer's FTP or emails it to every recipient. If a file fails to build, the previous one stays at the link. More — price lists for customers and dealers.
What is a B2B customer portal?
It is where a wholesale buyer logs in to see their own prices and orders. In Elbuz this is the customer account in a store on Elbuz CMS: the buyer sees their group's prices in the catalog and in the cart, plus their order history, and you can show prices only to logged-in customers. Group prices in the store are set in its admin, not carried over from Elbuz rules. There is no separate B2B portal with documents and balance due — you see the customer's balance and documents in Elbuz. More — Elbuz CMS.
Can I ship wholesale orders in batches?
Yes. In the wholesale business type an order goes through approval and picking and ships in parts, and payment can come in parts too — as a prepayment or in installments. Each delivery note reduces the reserved quantity by what was shipped, and the order with all its delivery notes counts as one purchase.
Can dealers get the catalog as a feed instead of a website?
Yes. Dealers who run their own website or software get the catalog as a price list or a feed at a permanent link, built from the same products and prices.
Who answers a wholesale customer's emails and calls?
Their own manager: an email, chat or call from a wholesale customer goes straight to that manager, or to a colleague on shift while the manager is on vacation. Large customers come first in the request queue, and the customer's buyer, accountant and warehouse clerk are recognized as one company. More — helpdesk for ecommerce.
