Why is it needed and what will you get?
eBay is a marketplace with a huge audience in Germany, Poland, and the US, where millions of people search and buy every day. But managing a seller's account manually is exhausting: supplier prices change, leftovers disappear, new items need to be listed, and each listing on eBay has its own category and required characteristics.
Elbuz integration with eBay turns this work into an automatic process. Elbuz combines suppliers' price lists into a single catalog - and then synchronizes it with eBay itself: loads your listings, updates prices and balances, publishes new products, and collects orders.
What tasks does integration solve?
Full catalog download from eBay. Elbuz takes away all your active listings — even those manually created in Seller Hub years ago — with prices, availability, photos, features, and variations.
Automatic prices and balances. The supplier updated the price list - Elbuz recalculated the prices according to your formulas and updated the listings on eBay. The product is out of stock - the balance will become zero and you will not receive an order for an empty warehouse.
Publication of new products. New items from suppliers' price lists are posted on eBay automatically: with a name, description, photo, brand, and in the correct eBay category.
Order in Elbuz. Sales history and new orders — with the buyer, delivery address, products, and statuses — are collected in your account.
The result: the assortment on eBay is always up-to-date and grows on its own, and you focus on sales, not routine.
How it works: a simple diagram
Download template (Data Upload menu) - transfers listings and orders from eBay to Elbuz.
Unloading template (Data Upload menu) - updates prices and balances on eBay and publishes new listings.
Category mapping window — here you specify once which of your categories corresponds to which eBay category so that new items are published immediately in the right place.
Connection - via the Elbuz application: confirm access in your eBay account and enter a short binding code Tokens, keys, and other technical details are not required.
Step 1. Connect your eBay seller account
Open Data loading and create a new template of type ebay.com.
In the card "Marketplace app" follow the connect link. Log in to your eBay account and click Agree on the consent page.
Get it binding code of 8 characters, enter it in the template and press "Link a store" Done — Elbuz has gained access to your account (access is valid for 18 months and is automatically renewed).
Main settings fields
Field | What to specify |
|---|---|
Binding code | 8 characters from the page after confirming access. The main connection method. |
eBay User Token | Alternative for developers and testing sandbox. Leave empty with application. |
Data Selection Checkboxes | Select what to upload: products, photos, attributes, orders, etc. |
Step 2. Download the catalog from eBay
Click "Download" — Elbuz will remove all active listings from your account:
Products with variations (size, color) will become product families - each variation with its own price, remaining stock, and photo;
Listing characteristics (Brand, Material, etc.) will become catalog attributes, and variable ones will become filter options;
eBay categories will be organized into the usual category tree, the brand will become the manufacturer;
Completed and inactive listings are skipped — only the live assortment is included in the catalog.
Reruns are safe: no duplicates, only updates.
Step 3. Receive the order
Check the box "Order" — Elbuz will upload your sales history, and then pick up new orders and status changes on a schedule. Each order includes: buyer, phone number, delivery address, delivery service, products linked to your catalog, amounts, and payment and shipping statuses.
Use the status mapping buttons in the template to link eBay statuses to your account statuses, and new orders will immediately enter the correct stage of your sales funnel.
Step 4. Match categories for publishing new releases
In order for Elbuz to post new items, it needs to know which eBay category to list them in. This is set up once:
Open the guide Categories and click the marketplace mapping button (pencil).
In the row of sites at the top, select eBay and the country's playground: eBay Germany, eBay Poland or eBay USA.
Click "Download the site guide" — Elbuz downloads the full eBay category tree (needed once).
For each of your categories, click the select button and find the appropriate eBay category in the handy search.
Advice: Start with the categories that have the most new products. It is not necessary to compare the entire catalog at once - products from uncompared categories are simply skipped when publishing, as Elbuz honestly writes in the magazine.
Step 5. Configure the download: prices, balances, new products
Open Data upload and create a template of type ebay.com.
Check the box. "Goods" — Elbuz will massively update prices and balances of all listings associated with the catalog.
To have new posts published automatically, check the box "Publish new products".
What is needed to publish a new listing?
eBay category mapped (step 4).
Configured seller account: The warehouse address and business policies - shipping, payment, and return terms - must be filled in in eBay Seller Hub. This is a one-time setting in your eBay account; if something is missing, Elbuz will write about it in the unloading log in clear language.
The title, description, photo, and price are taken from your catalog automatically; the brand and article number become the listing characteristics.
Published products are immediately linked to the catalog - then they live in the usual cycle of automatic price and stock updates.
Products with variations (families) are skipped at the first stage of publication — support for multivariate listings will appear in future versions. Updating prices and balances for already existing variable listings is fully functional.
Recommendations for maximum profit
Build eBay commission into your markup formulas. The commission depends on the category (usually 10–13%) — take it into account in Elbuz pricing, and every sale will be a plus.
Do you sell in Germany or Poland? Choose the appropriate platform in the comparison window — each country has its own category trees. Buyers respond better to listings in their country's language.
Schedule synchronization. Upload orders and upload prices in the planner — and the account lives on its own, even while you sleep.
Keep an eye on the unloading log. Each missed product has an explanation of the reason - it's a ready-made list of tasks to complete to expand the assortment.
Frequently asked questions
I have listings that were created manually many years ago. Will Elbuz see them?
Yes. Elbuz loads all active listings in an account regardless of how and when they were created.
Is it possible to work with multiple eBay countries at the same time?
Price and stock updates work across listings on all platforms. To publish new items, select the main country of sale in the category comparison window — we will expand support for multiple trees at the same time.
What happens if there are no shipping policies or warehouses set up in the account?
Updating prices and stock will work as usual. And publishing new items will stop with a prompt in the journal — adjust the warehouse address and policy in Seller Hub and try uploading again.
