How to add the Elbuz widget via an already connected Google Tag Manager
If you already have GTM running on Prom.ua, the task is simpler—you just need to add a new tag with our widget. It will take 5-10 minutes.
Step 1: Open your container in Google Tag Manager
Go to tagmanager.google.com Under the same Google account where your container was created. Select the account and container that is already connected to your Prom store.
Step 2: Create a new tag
In the left menu, select Tags (Tags) → click the button "Create" (New) in the upper right corner.
Enter the tag name at the top: Elbuz Widget – Search and Chat (any name, but it’s better to make it clear so as not to get confused later among other tags).
Step 3: Insert our code
Click on the block "Tag Configuration" → in the list that opens, select Custom HTML (Custom HTML).
In the code field, paste the code that we will send you separately.
⚠️ Important: Please use the code we send you - it will contain the correct code. data-shop-id for your store. Do not edit it yourself.
Check mark "document.write support" leave it off - it's not needed.
Step 4: Set up the trigger
Scroll down to the block Triggers → click on it.
Select All Pages (All pages) - the widget will load on all pages of the store.
If you want the widget to work only on certain pages (for example, only in the catalog, without the homepage), write to us, and we'll show you how to configure the trigger specifically.
Click "Save" in the upper right corner.
Step 5: Check the tag in preview mode (recommended)
Before publishing, make sure the tag is working. In the upper right corner, click Viewing (Preview).
A new Tag Assistant tab will open - enter your store address on Prom and click Connect Your website will open with the debugger connected.
In the Tag Assistant panel, the list of triggered tags should appear Elbuz Widget – Search and Chat If it's there, everything's fine, you can publish. If it's not in the list of triggered pages, check that the trigger is set to All Pages.
Step 6: Publish the changes
Go back to the main Google Tag Manager tab → click the blue button "Send" (Submit) in the upper right corner.
Fill in:
- Version name — for example, “Elbuz widget added”
- Description - can be left blank
Click Publish.
⚠️ Important: Without publishing, the tag won't work on the live site, even if you've saved it. This is the most common mistake.
Step 7. Check on the website
Wait 2-3 minutes, then open your store in incognito mode (Ctrl+Shift+N in Chrome) – to exclude the browser cache.
The search and chat widget should appear on the page.
If the widget does not appear
- Open the website → click F12 → tab Console - Check if there are any red errors with the word
elbuz - Go to the tab Network → enter into filter
elbuz→ refresh the page (F5) → a request to our script with status 200 should appear - Make sure you clicked on the correct one in Google Tag Manager. Publish, and not only "Save"
- Check that the new tag is in in the same container, which is connected to Prom (if you have several containers, it's easy to confuse them)
If nothing helps, send us a screenshot of the Console and Network tabs, and we'll figure it out quickly.
