The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is launching an innovative AI avatar "Victoria" to voice official statements concerning Ukrainians abroad, which will modernize the conservative sphere of diplomacy and increase the efficiency of communications.

Artificial intelligence "Victoria" will become the new voice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affairs of Ukraine. The virtual avatar will voice official statements of the department regarding the situation with Ukrainians abroad. This innovative solution will replace traditional methods of communication and bring an innovative approach to the conservative sphere of diplomacy.
Creation technology
Avatar "Victoria" was created based on video recordings of a real person who read the texts necessary to train the artificial intelligence system. The virtual diplomat will be able to communicate in Ukrainian and English. To ensure authenticity and prevent the spread of fake information, the videos will contain a QR code that redirects viewers to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the text of the statement.
Ambitious plans
The development of the Victoria avatar took about a month and was implemented by a public union Nazovni Tech in collaboration with The Game Changers NGO. According to experts, the cost of such a project could range from 5 to 10 thousand dollars. However, in this case, the work was financed by partners and not by the state.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba noted that the department is already using artificial intelligence to voice messages in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic. "Victoria" is only the first step in the implementation of a comprehensive program for the introduction of AI technologies in the diplomatic sphere. There are also plans to create an AI simulator for training young Ukrainian diplomats.
