Continuous viewing of short vertical videos
From now on users with a YouTube premium subscription will be able to continuously watch short vertical videos or YouTube Shorts even outside the program in a small window similar to the "picture-in-picture" mode. However, for now, this feature is only available for Android users.
Transitions to key moments in the video
Thanks to the new update, a special Jump ahead button will appear when you double-tap the screen while watching a video. It will allow you to quickly go to interesting moments in the video, determined with the help of artificial intelligence based on data about the user's preferences. This feature is currently available for Android device owners, and will soon be available for iOS users as well.
Testing new features
YouTube notes that premium subscription subscribers will have the opportunity to test new features of the service in the early stages of development. For example, offline playback of short vertical videos, the use of conversational artificial intelligence (but only in the US), and an updated interface for the video watch page are now available.
