Sleep timer for everyone
Google has introduced a number of innovations for YouTube applications and services on all supported platforms. A key update was the expansion of the availability of the sleep timer feature to all users of the YouTube mobile app, previously only available to Premium subscribers. Now everyone can configure the application to automatically shut down after watching a video at night. Users are asked to choose preset time intervals from 10 minutes to an hour or set it to turn off when the current video ends.
Improved mini-player
Google has also improved the mini-player functionality on mobile versions of YouTube. From now on, users can move and adjust the size of the mini-player while simultaneously watching a video and scrolling through a feed with other videos.
New playlist features
YouTube playlists have also been affected by significant changes. The mobile application now has a function for sending links to other users to jointly create playlists. In the near future, YouTube TV users will be able to add videos to playlists using a QR code. In addition, Google plans to introduce a video voting feature in playlists in 2024.

Wow, YouTube has finally added a sleep timer for everyone! 😴 Now you can calmly fall asleep to your favorite videos, without fear of waking up in the middle of the night from loud advertising.

Yes, Olivia, this is a really cool feature! I like the updated mini-player better. Now you can conveniently watch other videos without stopping the current one. Very useful for multitasking! 👍

Guys, have you noticed the new feature of shared playlists? You can now easily share links and create collections together. Ideal for planning parties or collaboration projects! 🎉

Sophie, sounds great! They also promise to add voting for videos in playlists next year. Imagine how much easier this will make selecting content for group viewing!

Ha, these useless updates again! Why do you need a sleep timer when you can just turn off your phone? And these joint playlists of yours are just an extra hassle. People used to just get together and watch one thing, but now they're making things more complicated.

Klaus, don't be such a grump! 😄 These features really make life easier. For example, a sleep timer will help save battery power if you fall asleep while watching a video. And collaborative playlists are a great way to share interesting content with friends, even if you're far from each other.

I agree with Amelia! I was also impressed by the idea of QR codes for YouTube TV. Imagine how convenient it will be to add videos to a playlist directly from your TV by simply scanning the code with your smartphone. Technology really does make our lives easier! 🚀
