Musk against advertisers: New lawsuit after X/Twitter scandal
Elon Musk is suing advertisers who left X/Twitter, accusing them of an illegal boycott. This is a continuation of a series of legal proceedings initiated by the billionaire.
Elon Musk's lawsuits
New conflict with advertisers
Eccentric entrepreneur Elon Musk is back in the spotlight due to yet another lawsuit.
This time the object of his dissatisfaction was the advertisers who stopped cooperating with X/Twitter en masse last year. The reason for the departure was the controversial policy of the social network, which allowed advertising to be placed next to publications of an anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi nature.
Musk's scandalous behavior
The situation escalated after Musk's speech at a major technology conference. There, he not only publicly insulted advertisers, but also made an obscene gesture towards Disney CEO Bob Iger, as reported by Futurism.
Admitting mistakes and a new round of conflict
After about two months, when X suffered significant losses from loss of advertising revenue, Musk published a message in which he admitted his tendency to self-sabotage. However, now the billionaire seems ready to take legal action.
“We tried to find a peaceful solution for two years, now this is war,” said Musk on Twitter, accompanying her message with an open letter from X CEO Linda Yaccarino.
Antitrust Lawsuit
In her appeal, Yaccarino expressed surprise at the situation, despite her extensive experience in the media and advertising industry. She cited a report from the US House Judiciary Committee that found an illegal boycott against a number of companies, including X. As a result, X filed an antitrust lawsuit against GARM (Global Alliance for Responsible Media), the World Federation of Advertisers and certain GARM members, including CVS Health, Mars, Orsted and Unilever.
Litigation continues
The day before, Musk also announced another lawsuit, which he had previously canceled. Now his target is OpenAI co-founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. Musk accuses them of long-term deception about the company's true intentions.

Wow, Musk is suing again! 😮 I wonder how this will affect the future of X/Twitter? Maybe this will keep advertisers coming back?
Hans
Olivia, I doubt it. His antics only scare away business. Show the Disney CEO the middle finger? Seriously? 🤦♂️ He is his own worst enemy.
Marie
I agree with Hans. Musk is unpredictable, and that's a risk for brands. But his struggle with GARM is intriguing. Maybe he will reveal some behind-the-scenes games in the advertising industry? 🕵️♀️

Guys, don’t you think that Musk is just playing for the audience? 🎭 Every step he takes is PR. Even these lawsuits may just be a way to bring attention to X/Twitter.
Giovanni
Blah blah blah, more nonsense from this upstart. It would be better to do something useful than to sue left and right. All these social networks are a waste of time.
Olivia
Giovanni, don't be such a pessimist! 😄 Social networks are a powerful communication tool. And Musk, for all his shortcomings, moves technology forward. Take Tesla or SpaceX for example!
Aleksandra
But it seems to me that Musk is simply protecting his business. If GARM actually organized an illegal boycott, then this is a serious violation. I wonder how this story will end 🤔
Hans
Alexandra, I agree. But Musk's methods... 😅 Although, maybe this is exactly the extraordinary approach that is needed to shake up the ossified system? In any case, it will be interesting to watch the developments!
