New emojis in iOS 18: from the tired face to the Sark flag
In the new version of iOS 18, eight new emojis are expected to appear, including a tired face, a beet and a shovel. These updates are being developed by the Unicode Consortium and should be implemented by Apple early next year.

Creation and implementation process
The Unicode Consortium, a non-profit organization, is engaged in the development of new emojis. In May, they unveiled new icons and began a beta testing period that lasted until July 2nd. After this stage is completed, leading technology companies such as Apple, Google and Microsoft get the opportunity to integrate these symbols into their operating systems.
Implementation dates
According to available information, new emojis may appear in iOS 18 and Android 15 approximately at the beginning of next year. Apple has already released a preliminary version of iOS 18, the full release of which is expected in the fall together with the new iPhone line.
Additional innovations
The official presentation of new software from Apple took place on June 10 during the annual WWDC conference. The Apple Intelligence feature was also presented at the event. Among other interesting innovations, it is planned to introduce the ability to create personalized emojis using a text description.
