Vodafone demonstrated the capabilities of the latest 5G network in Ukraine during an international telebridge with the participation of government and business representatives from Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Helsinki.

Vodafone company arranged testing of fifth generation mobile communication technology 5G connection during the Action Forum 2024 in Ivano-Frankivsk. For this purpose, an international telebridge was organized between the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as the capital of Finland, Helsinki, where the 5G network has been operating since 2019.
Event participants
The event was attended by government and business representatives, including the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of Finland Wille Tavio, as well as President of Nokia Mobile Networks Tommy Vitto.
Test locations
Test 5G equipment was installed on the territory of the Promprilad center in Ivano- Frankivsk, in the Vodafone office in Kyiv and was used to organize a telebridge. It is noted that ordinary devices with 5G support could be connected to the experimental network.
Musical performance
During the telebridge, there was a simultaneous performance of musical groups that were at a distance of more than 600 km from each other. The Eclectic Sound Orchestra played on the roof of the Vodafone office in Kyiv, and the Spivochi vocal group performed on the Promprilad stage in Ivano-Frankivsk. It is emphasized that the quality of communication allowed the artists to perform compositions synchronously.
Current status
Currently, Vodafone Ukraine provides high-speed Internet services according to 3G and 4G standards.
