According to a study by NV, the list of prominent figures in the Ukrainian IT industry is headed by the co-founder of fintech - startup Revolut Vlad Yatsenko. Following him in the ranking are Dmitry Zaporozhets from GitLab and the top management of SoftServe. The ranking also includes senior management from companies such as Astound, Eleks, AJAX, Grid Dynamics and Nix.
Came close to getting into the top 30, but were not included in the list: owners of the service company SPD Technology Bogdan Khalyapin and Alexander Sadovsky (official revenue 0.7 billion UAH), Alexey Glukhovsky from Matter Labs (0.7 billion UAH), as well as Yaroslav Azhnyuk, Andrey Klen and Alexander Neskin from Petcube (0.5 billion UAH).
Research methodology
When analyzing the revenue of companies in Ukraine, only legal entities that indicated the following NACE codes in their business profile were taken into account: computer programming, consulting on information technology issues, activities related to the management of computer equipment, other activities in the field of information technology and computer systems, replication of audio, video recordings and software, publishing computer games, publishing other software, data processing, posting information on websites and related activities.
Data on the financial statements of Ukrainian enterprises for 2023, as well as on some owners, were provided by the YouControl analytical service, and information on revenue international companies and foreign divisions - the investment company Concorde Capital.

In this ranking, Vlad Yatsenko is followed by Dmitry Zaporozhets from GitLab. In my opinion, GitLab is an incredibly advanced tool, although not easy to learn. 🙌🏻 I think he deserves to be in the top.

It is not surprising that the rating is based on data from the Ukrainian IT Games net of taxes (KVED). The methodology clearly covers all areas of the IT industry. To understand the scale, you need reliable sources of business intelligence like YouControl and Concorde Capital. 📈

Have you heard about Alexey Glukhovsky’s Matter Labs? They are also developing blockchain technology, like Revolut, although slightly different. It's a pity that they haven't made it into the rating yet. But they have a promising innovative project. 🤖 Perhaps next year they will be at the top!

By the way, did you notice that the creators of Petcube were not included in the top 30? But their pet products are cool and unique. They had great potential to be ranked. Apparently, there just wasn’t enough revenue this year. 🐶 Let's hope they rise higher next year!
