The Government of Ukraine has identified the key sectors of the economy for the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies and provided for the development of a state program for their development until 2026.

Priority areas of application
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the concept of a state target program aimed at the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the leading sectors of the economy by 2026. The priority directions for the introduction of innovative AI technologies have been determined:
- mechanical engineering,
- chemical and petrochemical industry,
- coal industry,
- defense and nuclear industry,
- scientific and scientific and technical activities ,
- agriculture,
- health care.
Goals of the state program
This program aims to:

- determine priorities and key tasks for the development of artificial intelligence technologies,
- introduce state support mechanisms to create favorable conditions for the development of innovative AI technologies,
- to increase the economic potential of Ukraine and strengthen the state's position in the world market.
Implementation of the program
The Ministry of Strategic Industries is identified as the state customer of the program. Within six months, it must develop and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers a draft program on the use of artificial intelligence technologies in priority sectors of the economy.
Cooperation in the field of education
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the company Palantir, which develops software for AI technologies, signed a memorandum of cooperation. The main goal of cooperation is to promote transformations in the field of education and ensure access to safe full-time education for as many children as possible.
