Ukraine begins an educational campaign on personal cybersecurity for citizens

This campaign aims to raise citizens' awareness of online threats and teach basic cyber hygiene to ensure personal cyber security.

During the military conflict, CRDF Global in Ukraine together with the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science and other organizations are launching a nationwide information and educational campaign on personal cybersecurity. The main goal is to increase Ukrainians' awareness of online threats and master cyber hygiene skills.

Target groups

The educational program is aimed at various age categories:

Teenagers (11-17 years) are the most vulnerable because they actively use technology, but do not have sufficient critical thinking and easily become victims of fraud.
The adult population (18-59 years old) selectively uses new technologies, but neglects security rules, considering themselves uninteresting to cybercriminals.
Older people (60+) in wartime conditions are increasingly using online tools to receive news and communicate with loved ones, requiring training in cyber hygiene.
