Open Data Hackathon in Kyiv: $143,000 awaits accelerator winners
The Open Data Hackathon took place in Kyiv, where teams presented solutions using open data. Three winners were invited to the accelerator, where they will compete for a grant of more than $143,000.

Open Data Hackathon
The capital of Ukraine became the focus of the two-day Open Data Hackathon event, dedicated to the creation of innovative developments based on open information. During the event, 10 teams presented their projects to the jury and the open data community.
Evaluation criteria
The members of the jury evaluated the participants' designs, taking into account the innovation of ideas, the use of open data , potential competitiveness and impact, progress during the hackathon, having a strong team and a quality presentation.
Competition winners
According to the jury, the following projects won:
- "Strum" is a career guidance platform for teenagers and parents with up-to-date information on the labor market, opportunities for training, internships and internships, as well as a gamified algorithm for help with the choice of profession.
- CrimeDataLab - a platform for analyzing official statistics on combating crime. It allows you to evaluate the effectiveness of law enforcement and judicial bodies and combines interactive dashboards, an AI assistant for working with data and data science tools.
- "HEALTH HERE" - an AI assistant in the form of a chatbot that helps users find a family doctor, free medicines under the "Affordable Medicines" program and medical services.
Award to the winners
The winning teams received an invitation to the Open Data Accelerator, where they will compete for a grant for the implementation of the project from the general fund of more than 5, UAH 8 million (over $143,000 at the current exchange rate).

Open Data Hackathon was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the project "Supporting Digital Transformation" with the assistance of USAID and UK Dev, as well as the executive partner SocialBoost.
