Ukrzaliznytsia fights against traffickers: Tickets for international flights through Diya.Pidpis
"Ukrzaliznytsia" is implementing new measures to combat ticket sellers for international flights. From August 2024, the purchase of tickets to popular destinations will require verification through "Diya.Signature", which aims to ensure fair access to tickets for passengers.

New rules for purchasing tickets
Starting from August 1, 2024, "Ukrzaliznytsia" is introducing a new system for purchasing tickets for popular international routes. From now on, passengers will be able to buy tickets only after identity verification using "Action.Signature". This is a temporary measure aimed at combating the excessive activity of traffickers during peak periods of transportation.
Routes with mandatory verification
The new rules will apply to the following popular destinations:
- Kyiv – Chelm (trains #19/20 and #23/24)
- Kyiv – Przemyśl (trains #51/52 and #89/90)
- Kharkiv – Przemyśl (train #73/74)
It is worth noting that a similar verification system already valid for flights to Warsaw and Vienna, which are in high demand.
The process of buying tickets
It will be possible to buy tickets for the indicated routes exclusively through the official application and the updated website of "Ukrzaliznytsia" , using "Action.Signature" verification.
Reasons for implementing the new system
Every day, Ukrzaliznytsia specialists block about 50 attempts to buy tickets in bulk. However, without verification through "Action.Signature", it was enough for speculators to simply change the phone number to continue their activities. This negatively affected the operation of the system and prevented ordinary passengers from planning their trips.
Alternatives for foreign citizens
Understanding the needs of foreign passengers who do not have access to Diya, Ukrzaliznytsia keeps current system of access to international tickets for at least one flight in each direction. This includes routes: Odesa - Przemyśl, Kharkiv - Khelm, Dnipro - Khelm, Kyiv - Przemyśl, Chop - Vienna, Mukachevo - Kosice, Lviv - Warsaw, Kyiv - Chisinau and others.

Finally! It is good that Ukrzaliznytsia has taken up the dealers. I'm already tired of not being able to buy tickets for popular flights. 👏

This is a great idea! But what about tourists? Not everyone has Diya. Although I see that they left some flights without verification. A reasonable compromise. 🤔
Sophie
Olena, I agree! This should make life much easier for ordinary passengers. Wondering how quickly this will affect ticket availability? 🚆

Oh, these innovations again! Why complicate everything? It used to be easier - I came to the station and bought a ticket. And now some more applications, verifications... Moroka! 😒

Taras, but this is for our own comfort! Imagine how many people will now be able to plan trips without fear that all the tickets will be sold out in seconds. 😊

Isabella, sure! And it's nice that Ukrzaliznytsia thinks about different categories of passengers. They left options for foreigners as well - this is important for the development of tourism. 🌍

I wonder how this will affect prices? Maybe without the resellers, tickets will become more affordable? At least a little... 💸
Sophie
Markus, good point! It would be great if the prices came down a bit. And even better - if there were more flights to popular destinations. Dreams, dreams... 😄🚉
