A revolution in business: Online signing of EU documents on a single platform
Ukrainian companies and citizens were able to sign documents with European partners online thanks to a new function of the Schrift platform, which supports Ukrainian and European qualified electronic signatures.

New opportunities for business
From now on, Ukrainian legal entities and individuals can sign documents with partners from the European Union using a single online platform. As AIN.UA reports, the Schrift electronic document management system has introduced an innovative function that allows the use of both Ukrainian and European qualified electronic signatures (QES) on the same platform.
Ease of use
You don't need to install additional software to sign documents using Schrift - just a web browser is enough. It is noteworthy that the counterparty can sign the document for free, even without creating his own account, using the guest interface.
Verification and legal validity
The signature can be checked directly in the Schrift system or through official resources such as czo.gov.ua and ec.europa.eu. It is important to note that these electronic signatures are legally binding both in Ukraine and in the countries of the European Union.
Prerequisites and recommendations
This opportunity appeared thanks to an experimental project initiated by the government of Ukraine and the European Union in November 2022. Ukraine became the first country outside the EU to receive the possibility of mutual recognition of electronic trust services.
It should be noted that the European Union does not use the DSTU signing algorithm, which is used in most Ukrainian certificates. Therefore, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine recommends using Ukrainian KEPs with an international certificate, for example Action.Signature.
Current status and prospects
Until full mutual recognition of Ukrainian and European KEPs, a temporary order is in effect that allows recognition of Ukrainian KEPs in the European Union as improved. Although they have a lower level of credibility, they still have probative value in European courts.
Schrift is a modern online electronic document management system that also provides task and communication management. The company has representative offices both in Ukraine and in the European Union.

This is really great! I work in an IT company, and we often face problems when signing documents with European clients. Schrift can be a real breakthrough for us. 💻

Dmytro, Sophie, you are right. This is a great achievement for Ukraine. I wonder how quickly other countries outside the EU will be able to get this opportunity? 🤔

I am amazed that Ukraine became the first country outside the EU with such an opportunity. This demonstrates our progressiveness and readiness for integration. Hopefully this will speed up our way to the EU! 🇺🇦🇪🇺

Eh, those newfangled things again. Why complicate everything? Papers were signed before - and everything was fine. And now some KEPs have been invented. Just a headache...
Sophie
Viktor, I understand your concern, but these changes actually make life easier. Imagine how much time and money you can save on sending paper documents! 📄✈️
Hans
I agree with Sophie. In addition, it is also environmentally friendly. Less paper - more trees. 🌳 As for safety, European standards are very strict, so you should not worry.

Wondering how this will affect small businesses? Perhaps this will open up new opportunities for Ukrainian entrepreneurs on the European market. Does anyone have experience with Schrift?
