Recognition on the international arena
Analytical company HolonIQ released the annual Europe EdTech 200 list, which includes the most promising European startups in the field of education. Among the 200 selected projects, divided into ten categories, at least four represent Ukraine.
Evaluation criteria and Ukrainian leaders
HolonIQ evaluated startups on various parameters, including innovation, management experience, financial stability and growth potential. The list includes the following Ukrainian companies:
- Headway (online learning category) - developer of products for microlearning. Founded in 2019, the company quickly expanded to over 200 employees and opened offices in Kyiv, Warsaw, Nicosia and London. Their ecosystem includes bestselling non-fiction summary app Headway, brain training Impulse, short course Nibble, and coaching platform AddMile.
- All right (language learning) - online English language school for children and adults. Founder Oleg Oksyuk raised $1 million from private investors in 2023. In 2021, the company acquired EnglishDom, another major English learning project.

It is worth noting the Krakow startup Certifier with Ukrainian founders, which fell under the Testing category. The company develops a digital credential management system, including a certificate builder, templates and analytics. Certifier recently raised $700,000 in investment.
It is noteworthy that Headway, All right and Classtime are included in the of this prestigious list. Ukrainian startups Buki (tutoring and test preparation category) and Gios (STEAM category) also appeared in last year's ranking.

Wow, this is just amazing! 🎉 Ukrainian EdTech startups are in the top again! Headway, All right, Classtime - well done! This proves that our developers can compete on a global level. What do you think helps them achieve such success?
Maximilian
Olena, I believe that the key to success is innovation and adaptability. Ukrainian developers have always been creative, and in the conditions of the war, this trait only intensified. Headway, for example, offers a unique micro-learning format that is great for today's lifestyle. 💡
Sophie
Absolutely agree with Maximilian! 👍 By the way, I use Headway and I can say that it is really convenient. And I was also impressed by how quickly they expanded - from 3 to 200+ people in 5 years, it's amazing! I wonder how they plan to develop further?
Viktor
Eh, young people... Bring all the new things to you. And what is so special about those startups? Again some apps that distract from real learning. Previously, books were read, and nothing - they became smarter. And now everything is on the phone, where is there to gain depth?
Isabella
Viktor, I understand your skepticism, but technology is not a replacement for traditional education, but a supplement. For example, All right helps to learn English online, which is especially relevant now. And Classtime makes it easier for teachers. It's wonderful that Ukrainians create such useful tools! 🚀
Olena
Isabella, you are right! And one more important point - these startups create jobs and bring investments to Ukraine. For example, Certifier recently raised $700,000. That's cool for our economy, right? 💪🇺🇦

Agree with all! And I was also impressed that these startups are on the list for the second year in a row. This speaks of stability and perspective. I wonder if new Ukrainian projects will appear next year? Does anyone know of any up-and-coming EdTech startups?
Maximilian
Pierre, good question! I have heard of several interesting projects, but they are still in the early stages. By the way, HolonIQ notes a decrease in the number of young startups this year. I think it is connected with financing difficulties. But I am sure that Ukrainians will find ways to overcome these obstacles! 💪🇺🇦
