Ukrainian IT company Boosters sells Avrora: UAH 3.5 million for charity
The Ukrainian company Boosters sold its successful sleep application Avrora to an American entrepreneur, demonstrating significant progress in the development of domestic IT products and their recognition on the international market.

Ukrainian IT -giant Boosters, part of the Genesis ecosystem, implemented its popular sleep-enhancing app Avrora. The buyer was American businessman Ken Colbert. The details of the financial side of the deal remain confidential, as company representatives told AIN.UA.
Project development and success
The founder of Avrora in 2018 was Mykhailo Galyan , who served as the CEO of Boosters. The initial version of the app, known as Sleep Booster, had a minimalist design with a black screen, a "Boost my sleep" button, and an alarm clock function.
Over time, involving specialists, the team transformed the application into a comprehensive tool for quality improvement sleep The updated version included an intelligent alarm clock, sleep monitoring, analysis of night sounds and an extensive library of content for falling asleep.
Financial results and impact
According to Mykhailo Galyan, Avrora brought the company an income exceeding 15 million dollars. During its five years of existence, the app has helped more than 10 million users improve their sleep, who have spent more than 40 million sessions.
Reasons for sale and charity
The decision to sell was made by the management in 2022 in order to concentrate resources on areas with greater growth potential. Although the exact amount of the deal is not disclosed, the company announced the transfer of 3.5 million hryvnias from the profit to support the "Children of Heroes" and KOLO charitable foundations.
Plans for new owner
According to company representatives, Ken Colbert bought Avrora, seeing great potential in it. The new owner plans to continue working with the existing user base and increase the number of downloads, aiming to establish Avrora in the top five applications in its niche.
