TSMC introduced the revolutionary A16 (1.6 nm) process technology: Apple iPhone will receive the most powerful chips in 2027!
TSMC introduced a new generation of advanced semiconductor chip manufacturing technologies, including the revolutionary 1.6nm A16 process technology with increased density, performance and energy efficiency, as well as the innovative System-on-Wafer system for combining dies on one plate. A16 technology
TSMC presented innovative technology for manufacturing A16 chips with topological standards 1 .6 nm. The A19 chips for 2025 iPhone models are expected to be the Cupertino-based company's first 2nm processors. In 2026, Apple will likely switch to an even more advanced version of the 2nm process.
