Last year, Rakuten Viber, the leading messaging app in Ukraine, took decisive steps to protecting users from phone scammers and spammers. Messenger blocked 37,000 fraudulent accounts, significantly less than in 2022, when 130,000 accounts were blocked. This positive trend indicates the effectiveness of the security measures taken by the company.

Thanks to Viber's efforts, the number of users who reported phone spam or fraud, decreased almost five times compared to the previous year, reaching 60,000. In addition, the number of Ukrainians who received calls from fraudsters decreased by three times, decreasing to 450,000.
