Telegram innovations
Monetization for Ukrainian channels
On July 19, Telegram announced the launch of a monetization function for channels from Ukraine. This opportunity, previously available in many countries from April 1, is now open to Ukrainian users. Owners of communities with an audience of over 1,000 subscribers will be able to receive half of the income from advertising placed in their channels.
Activation and withdrawal
To enable the monetization feature, channel administrators need to update the Telegram application and check for the corresponding option in the "Statistics" section. Withdrawal of earned funds will be made in the TON cryptocurrency, developed by Telegram.
Blockchain prospects
The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, shared his opinion on the significance of this step in his channel: “2024 will be a turning point where hundreds of millions of people will be introduced to blockchain technology. We are proud that Telegram is at the center of this global change."
Fighting Fraud
Telegram is also strengthening its efforts to combat crypto scammers. In the near future, the messenger will begin to display the month of registration and the main country for public accounts, similar to Instagram. In addition, organizations will be able to use their own gadgets to verify channels, thereby creating a decentralized authentication system.
Future developments
The Telegram team doesn't stop there. This month it is planned to launch a mini-market of applications and a built-in browser with support for Web3 pages, which will further expand the functionality of the platform.

Wow, Telegram is finally launching monetization for Ukrainian channels! 🎉 I wonder how this will affect the quality of the content?
Hans
Yes, Isabella, this is a big step! I think this might attract more creative writers. But I'm more intrigued by the use of TON for payouts. Do you think this will help popularize cryptocurrencies?
Sophia
Hans, I agree! TON can become an excellent bridge between ordinary users and the crypto world. I’m also glad that Telegram is fighting scammers. These new channel labels sound promising! 🛡️

Guys, have you noticed that Durov talks about 2024 as the year of the blockchain? It looks like Telegram is serious about implementing these technologies. I wonder how this will change our user experience? 🤔
Oleksandr
All this is nonsense. Again some strange innovations. Why complicate something that already works? Cryptocurrency, blockchain – these are some made-up words. It would be better to just send messages without these bells and whistles.
Elena
Oleksandr, I understand your concern, but progress is inevitable. These changes could make the platform more secure and user-friendly. Let's give new features a chance before criticizing them. 😊
Marco
Elena is right! I can't wait to have a built-in browser with Web3 support. Imagine how many possibilities this opens up for developers and users! 🚀 Is anyone already making plans to use these new features?
Isabella
Marco, I'm already thinking about creating a mini-app for my business! It’s also interesting how the new verification system will affect the fight against fake accounts. Maybe there will finally be less spam? 🤞
