CMF Phone 1 Smartphone
Nothing CMF sub-brand recently presented its debut smartphone - CMF Phone 1, priced at $199. According to Wired journalist Julian Coccattu, who had the opportunity to test the device, its real value is twice the declared value.
The design of the phone stands out for its originality. Although the prototype is not yet finished, the industrial design already makes a good impression. An interesting feature is the ability to change the back panel to different colors - blue, orange and light green, each for $35.
To change the panel, you need to unscrew several screws with a special screwdriver, which can be a bit difficult. The company promises to provide spare screws for after-sales service.
Unfortunately, the batteries are non-replaceable, which could have earned CMF additional kudos given the growing focus on device maintainability. Perhaps this is due to the waterproofing - the smartphone has an IP52 rating, although this does not guarantee complete protection from rain.
The Phone 1 has a large circle on its body designed for accessories. After unscrewing it, you can attach a strap ($25), a stand ($25) or a wallet case ($35).
