Ukrposhta is preparing for a large-scale modernization, promising revolutionary changes in the speed of parcel delivery thanks to robotic lines and a new application with expanded functionality.

Acceleration of parcel delivery
Igor Smelyansky, General Director of JSC Ukrposhta, announced a significant acceleration of the parcel delivery process starting in November of this year. This became possible thanks to the introduction of innovative robotic lines.
Large-scale network of sorting centers
In an interview with Ukrainian radio, Smelyansky revealed the company’s ambitious plans: “In the near future, all shipments will be processed using automated systems. We plan to open 23 sorting centers, including 7 large hubs and 17 regional points. This will ensure next-day delivery to 98.8% of Ukrainian cities, even between such remote points as Mukachevo and Pokrovsk."
International shipments
Ukrposhta is also improving international delivery times. Currently, parcels reach London in 5-7 days, the USA in 7-10 days, and Australia in 10-14 days. In 2023, the operator processed more than 215,000 incoming and 130,000 outgoing international express shipments. Smelyansky noted the growing popularity of the service for orders from Chinese platforms Temu and Aliexpress, where delivery times are 8-9 days.
New mobile application
In November, Ukrposhta plans to launch a new application that will unite all operator services. “Users will be able to track parcels, redirect them, pay for services. Gradually we will add new functions, including paying bills, money transfers, ordering medicines and postage stamps,” explained Smelyansky.
Prospects for cooperation with the USA
It is worth noting that Ukrposhta is negotiating with the US Postal Service on an agreement that will allow Ukrainians to receive parcels from Amazon and other American marketplaces directly.
