Samsung has unveiled an updated version of its Galaxy Flip6 foldable smartphone with improved specifications and new software features, but at a higher price.

Displays and performance
Samsung has released a new version of its popular foldable smartphone Galaxy Flip6. The external screen of the device remains the same - 3.4-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 720x748 pixels and a frequency of 60 Hz. The internal display is a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The Galaxy Flip6's performance has been greatly improved thanks to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is specially optimized for Samsung. The amount of RAM is increased to 12 GB, and the built-in memory is increased to 256 or 512 GB.
Software improvements
The main innovations affected the software. One UI 6.1.1 brings a number of new widgets and features to the external display. These include AI-powered Suggested replies for notifications, Photo Ambient for dynamic wallpapers, and Interactive Wallpaper with 3D characters. Now you can display multiple widgets on the screen at the same time.
Camera and battery life
The Galaxy Flip6 camera has received a significant update. The main module is now equipped with a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization instead of the previous 12-megapixel. The ultra-wide-angle module remains 12-megapixel. Front camera - 10 MP without autofocus. FlexCam is enhanced with AutoZoom for automatic framing.
Battery capacity has been increased by 8% and is 4000 mAh. Dust protection has been improved - the device now complies with the IP48 standard.
Design and price
Galaxy Flip6 measures 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm (85. 1×71.9×14.9 mm when folded), weight - 187 g. Despite the enlarged battery, the thickness when closed has decreased slightly. Samsung promises to release OS and security updates for 7 years.
The starting price of the Galaxy Flip6 has increased by $100 to $1099. In Ukraine, the price starts from UAH 49,999. The smartphone is available in silver grey, yellow, blue and mint colors.
