Rapid growth in the number of entrepreneurs
Since the launch of the automated registration of individual entrepreneurs (PE) in May 2021, the number of new businesses in Ukraine has reached an impressive figure - 535,021. In the first three months of 2024, a record number of new businesses were registered through the application or portal "Diya" - 57 665, exceeding the figures for the same periods of previous years.
Gender distribution of entrepreneurs
It is interesting to note that 58% of registered entrepreneurs were women, ahead of the share of men, which was 42%.
Popular areas of business
According to Opendatabot, the total number of registrations of individual entrepreneurs in Ukraine in 2023 reached 300 thousand. The most popular areas of activity were retail and wholesale trade, the IT sector, the provision of personal services, as well as food and beverage activities.
