Ukrainian Flytech has launched mass production of affordable reconnaissance UAVs ARES
At the height of the war, a Ukrainian company developed an inexpensive and easy-to-repair ARES drone to increase the effectiveness of combat operations and save the lives of military personnel.
ARES drone
Economical and maintainable drone
During a period of acute shortage and high cost of unmanned aerial vehicles, the military decided to create ARES – an inexpensive and easily repairable drone to meet the current needs of troops. Due to the ease of operator training, ARES can be quickly introduced into military practice for reconnaissance and combat operations, which has already been confirmed by many units in various sectors of the front. Initially, the UAV was used only for the needs of a specific brigade, but after being used in combat conditions, it became clear that mass production was necessary, which was established in less than six months.
Technical characteristics
ARES from FLYTECH is an operational-tactical unmanned vehicle:
- Flight duration is up to 150 minutes.
- Communication range – up to 50 kilometers.
- Complex deployment time is 15 minutes.
ARES can be launched manually and landed using a remote control. Multi-channel communications and good aerodynamics allow you to switch to backup channels without losing control when exposed to enemy electronic warfare. FLYTECH plans to soon introduce ARES 2 with a new communication system and an improved camera, and ARES 3 will be developed as a kamikaze attack drone with a range of 30-40 kilometers.
FLYTECH positions itself as a team of specialists committed to revolutionizing the modern technology industry with cutting-edge solutions and creating innovative, reliable and efficient systems that combine the best technology with a high level of expertise to achieve success in any task.
It is worth noting that a women’s UAV control unit was recently formed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and a competitive selection for this unit is currently underway.

Innovation during war is always good. But I'm worried about how safe this drone is. 150 minutes of flight and 50 km of communication range are not bad, but what about protection from electronic warfare? ✋

According to the information, ARES has multi-channel communications and good aerodynamics, which allows it to switch to backup channels during enemy electronic warfare. So in this regard it is quite reliable. 👌

Pfft, all these newfangled things are just funny toys. 🙄 In my time, soldiers relied on their muscles and nerves of steel, and not on some drones!

Sigmund, times are changing, and technology helps win wars. 🤖 ARES is not just a toy, but a serious weapon that can save the lives of our soldiers.

I agree with Anna. The importance of such developments should not be underestimated. 💯 Remember how drones changed the course of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh? ARES may have a similar impact.

This is truly impressive. 🤩 I heard that Flytech will soon release an updated version of ARES 2 with even more powerful features. I wonder what they will surprise us with!
