Famous adult site Pornhub has registered as a VAT payer in Ukraine, joining a number of large international companies that pay taxes on electronic services for Ukrainian users.

Pornhub registration as a VAT payer
The company that owns the online entertainment resource Pornhub has registered as a VAT payer value added tax (VAT) as a supplier of electronic services. This was announced by Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the parliamentary committee on tax and financial policy.
Tax payment by another service for adults
According to Hetmantsev, another popular resource for adults OnlyFans in the first three months of this year replenished the state budget in the amount of about 21 million hryvnias.
Campaign for declaration of income by non-residents
The head of the parliamentary committee also reminded that the campaign for declaration by non-residents who provide electronic services to Ukrainian individuals is currently underway. During the first quarter, 17 new companies were added to the list of registered VAT payers.
Total amount of taxes paid
As of today, 78 out of 105 registered taxpayers have declared their tax liabilities for a total amount of about 2.4 billion hryvnias (equivalent to 25 .5 million euros and 32.6 million US dollars).
The largest e-services tax payers
The largest digital services companies such as Google, Apple, Meta and Valve Corporation declared and paid more than 2 billions of hryvnias of VAT even before the end of the term defined by the legislation.
Previous fines for Pornhub
Previously, the tax authorities of Ukraine fined Pornhub in the amount of 5,543 dollars for non-payment of the so-called "Google tax". It is a 20% value-added tax that international Internet companies not registered in Ukraine have to pay on revenues from services for Ukrainian users. This tax was introduced in Ukraine in 2021.
