NVIDIA integrates quantum and supercomputers with the CUDA-Q platform
NVIDIA introduces the CUDA-Q platform to integrate quantum computing with traditional supercomputers accelerated by the company's GPUs.
Quantum Accelerator
Cutting-edge quantum technology
NVIDIA announced the release of the CUDA-Q platform for quantum computing . The innovative solution will be deployed in national supercomputing centers around the world. Supercomputers in Germany, Japan and Poland will be the first to use the platform to integrate quantum processing units (QPUs) into their high-performance computing systems. We are talking about software that allows you to use existing quantum computers in conjunction with NVIDIA accelerators.
Grace Hopper - a new stage in scientific research
The corporation announced that nine new supercomputers NVIDIA Grace Hopper superchips will be used around the world to accelerate scientific research and discovery. Collectively, the systems will provide 200 exaflops of energy-efficient artificial intelligence computing power.
Pushing the boundaries of what is possible
“Useful quantum computing will become a reality thanks to the tight integration of quantum supercomputers with graphics processors. NVIDIA's quantum computing platform provides pioneers like AIST, JSC and PSNC with the opportunity to push the boundaries of scientific discovery and advance advanced quantum-integrated supercomputing technologies,” said Tim Cost, director of quantum and HPC at NVIDIA.
New frontiers of quantum research
The new platform will allow the use of quantum computers for research in artificial intelligence, energy, biology, chemistry and other industries. NVIDIA gave examples of real scientific projects that will use the new technology. CUDA-Q is an open-source, quantum-classical accelerated supercomputing platform that is independent of specific QPUs.
