Artificial Intelligence in Photoshop: Revolutionizing Image Creation
Adobe is expanding Photoshop's capabilities by integrating generative AI to create images from text descriptions, and introducing new features in Illustrator to make designers more productive.

Photoshop Revolution
Adobe has begun a large-scale rollout of an innovative feature based on generative artificial intelligence in its popular graphics editor Photoshop. The new feature, announced in April of this year, allows you to create images based on text descriptions using the Firefly model.
Advanced Generative Fill
Previously, Generative Fill in Photoshop was limited to modifying existing images. Users can now create images from scratch by entering a description into the updated generative AI tool, similar to systems like Dall-E and Mid Journey. The resulting result can be further customized.
According to Adobe spokesperson Erin Boyce, the new feature significantly speeds up the content creation process, making bringing ideas to canvas as simple and fast as possible.

The new feature is based on Firefly Image 3, which recently caused controversy in the art community. Creative professionals have raised concerns about language in Adobe's updated terms of service, fearing the company could use their work to train its AI models. In response, Adobe reaffirmed its commitment to creating creator-friendly AI and assured that it will not train models based on customer content.
New tools for designers
In addition to image creation, Adobe introduced the Enhance Detail feature in Generative Fill. New features for Illustrator include Generative Shape Fill for creating detailed vectors in a designer's unique style, Enhanced Text to Pattern for generating custom vector patterns in an artist's style, and Style Reference. In addition, the company has introduced a Mockup tool that allows the creation of high-quality visual prototypes on various objects, such as product packaging.

Wow, Photoshop now lets you create images from scratch! 🎨 This is just a revolution in graphic design. I wonder how this will affect the work of professional designers? 🤔
Hans
Yes, Isabella, this is really impressive! I have already tried this feature and the results are amazing. What’s especially cool is that you can customize the resulting image. I think this will greatly speed up the workflow. 👨🎨💻

I'm excited about the new features in Illustrator! 😍 Generative Shape Fill is a blast for creating unique vector illustrations. I can't wait to try this out in my projects!

Bah, these fashionable things again. Not to just draw with a pencil, like in the good old days. All these AIs only spoil real art. There's no soul in this. 😒

Olaf, I understand your concern, but don't new technologies open up new horizons for creativity? 🌅 I think this is a great tool for experimenting and finding inspiration. ✨
Hans
I agree with Amélie! These tools do not replace the artist's talent, but only expand his capabilities. By the way, has anyone tried the new Mockup prototyping tool? 📦
Isabella
Hans, I'm currently working on a packaging project using Mockup. It's incredible how quickly you can create a realistic prototype! 🚀 Clients are delighted with the results. I think this will greatly simplify the design approval process. 👍
