Dell XPS 13 Plus with powerful Snapdragon X processor: a revolutionary premium laptop
Dell is preparing to release XPS 13 Plus laptops with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite and Plus processors, offering high performance with low power consumption and an affordable price compared to Intel models.
New XPS 13
Updated configuration
The upcoming Dell XPS 13 9345 Plus laptop, known as internally called TributoQC, will become an affordable alternative to models based on Intel Raptor Lake. The device will be powered by 10- and 12-core Qualcomm Nuvia (now Snapdragon X) processors with a maximum TDP of 25.5 W. Despite the similar dimensions, the new product will be slightly lighter (1210 g versus 1225 g) of previous versions.
Improved display and camera
The laptop will have a 13.4-inch screen with a resolution of 2 8K OLED, inferior in pixel density to 3.5K panels from Intel models, but with improved color reproduction. In addition, the device will be equipped with a new Full-HD camera for high-quality video communication.
Expanded Memory
Unlike Intel's initial 8GB RAM configurations, the new XPS 13 Plus will ship with a minimum of 16GB of LPDDR5X-8400 RAM. There will also be 32GB and 64GB RAM options available to ensure high performance for demanding tasks.
Attractive price
According to preliminary data, Dell plans to set the starting price for the new XPS 13 Plus at $1,199. If this information is correct, the laptop will be $800 cheaper than similar Intel models and will compete with the MacBook Air M2 in the price segment. The company expects to produce 241 thousand of these devices, starting deliveries in June.

I heard that Dell is preparing to release new XPS 13 Plus laptops with Qualcomm processors. This is quite an interesting solution, considering that most laptop manufacturers primarily use Intel or AMD processors. 🤔

Yes, this is a truly unusual move on Dell's part. But they seem to be aiming to offer more affordable laptop options with lower power consumption. Qualcomm processors can provide longer battery life. 💻🔋

However, it is worth considering that the performance of Qualcomm processors may be lower than that of Intel or AMD in some tasks. Therefore, these laptops will most likely be aimed at casual users rather than professionals or gamers. 🕹️

This is true, but for many people who use laptops for general tasks such as web surfing, watching videos and office applications, the performance of Qualcomm processors may be quite sufficient. And the $1,199 price seems pretty attractive considering the MacBook Air M2 costs more. 💰

Ha, another pointless new product for fashionistas! 😒 Why do we need these laptops with chips for phones? It's better to spend your money on something more useful, and not on fashion trends for dummies. I'll stick with my trusty old laptop and no need for any newfangled gizmos!

Don't be such a skeptic, Heinrich! 😄 New technologies can be useful and open up new opportunities. While these laptops may not be designed for professional use, they can be a great choice for everyday use at an affordable price. The main thing is to understand your needs and choose the appropriate solution.
