Mozilla launched the Monitor Plus service to protect privacy
Mozilla introduced a new Monitor Plus service designed to protect the privacy of Internet users. For $8.99 per month as part of an annual subscription, the service will scan more than 190 websites that share personal information collected from various online sources, such as social networks, apps and web trackers, according to The Verge.
Requests can take up to 2 weeks to process. If personal data is detected, the service will try to delete it automatically, and if this is not possible, instructions for self-deletion will be provided.
A free version is also available where users will get a free scan and one-time removal as well as monthly monitoring.
In recent years, Mozilla has offered other privacy-focused services, such as Mozilla VPN and Firefox Relay.
