Revolutionary Khadas Mini PC: Intel Core Ultra 200V, NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti and Built-in Battery
Khadas is releasing an innovative modular mini PC powered by Intel Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake processors with discrete graphics and battery options, offering a unique combination of performance and flexibility.
Khadas Modular Mini PC
Innovative Concept
Khadas introduces a revolutionary approach to creating compact computers. Their new development is a modular mini-PC that can be customized to suit the user's individual needs. The uniqueness of the device lies in the ability to expand the data storage and even add a powerful discrete video card through separate modules.
Advanced technologies
Of particular note is the Mind Graphics module, which is now available with the mobile version of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. According to preliminary information, the future base model of this PC could become a pioneer among Lunar Lake devices equipped with discrete graphics.
Performance testing
Test results for the Khadas Maker Kit have already appeared on the Geekbench platform. This kit includes a base module with Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 family processors, as well as a Mind Dock. The latter significantly expands the functionality of the base unit, adding nine I/O interfaces, a built-in SD card slot and integrated speakers.
Line evolution
Khadas has already released two similar systems: one based on Raptor Lake, the other based on Meteor Lake. Now the company is preparing to introduce the next generation series, which will use Lunar Lake processors. The line will include two chips: Core Ultra 5 228V and Core Ultra 7 268V. Both processors have an eight-core configuration, but differ in clock speeds and integrated graphics.
Technical characteristics
The architecture of the new processors includes 4 high-performance Lion Cove cores and 4 energy-efficient Skymont cores. The 268V is capable of clocking up to an impressive 5.0 GHz, while the 228V is limited to 4.5 GHz. The older model is equipped with Arc 140V graphics with 8 Xe2 cores, and the younger model is equipped with Arc 130V with 7 Xe2 cores. However, the greatest interest is the ability to install discrete graphics in the Khadas Graphics module. In addition, the new generation Khadas system will be equipped with 32 GB of high-speed LPDDR5X-8533 memory.
Premiere at IFA 2024
The official presentation of new products from the Mind line from Khadas will take place at IFA 2024, which will be held from September 6 to 10 in Berlin. From a technology point of view, Khadas Mind systems are of significant interest, offering the possibility of using a battery in the main unit and powerful discrete graphics. However, it is worth noting that these innovations are reflected in cost: the price of the processor module is $799, and the graphics module is $999. Despite the high price, this configuration can be an attractive alternative to traditional laptops for a certain category of users.

Wow, a modular mini PC with upgradable graphics? Sounds like a gamer's dream! 🎮 I wonder how the performance of the RTX 4060 Ti in this form factor will differ from the desktop version?
Sophie
Liam, yes, that's impressive! But I'm more intrigued by the battery power option. Imagine how convenient this is for working outside your home or office. I wonder what kind of battery life they promise? 🔋
Giovanni
Sophie, I agree, the battery is cool! But the Lunar Lake processors intrigued me. 8 cores in such a compact package is power! I wonder how they will cope with cooling? 🌡️
Helga
Guys, did you notice the price? $799 for the processor module and $999 for the graphics module - that's almost $2000 for the basic configuration! 😱 Isn’t it too expensive for a mini-PC, even a modular one?
Bernard
Oh, these young people, give them everything new! In my time, the computer took up an entire room and worked great. Now give them a mini-PC with a battery and some kind of lunar lake graphics. And for crazy money too! This is some nonsense.
Liam
Bernard, times change, technology develops. It's great that now a powerful computer can fit in a backpack! And Helga is right about the price, it’s a bit expensive. But maybe it's worth it for certain tasks? 🤔
Sophie
Indeed, the price is steep. But let's think about professionals who need mobility and power at the same time. For 3D designers or game developers, this could be a great option. Especially considering the possibility of an upgrade in the future! 💼🚀
Giovanni
Sophie, great point! And imagine how useful this could be for scientific expeditions or field research. A powerful PC that can be easily transported and runs on battery power is the dream! 🏞️🔬
