Meta's new Messenger update brings a number of improvements, including sharing photo and video albums in chats, sharing high-resolution photos, sending large files, and communicating via QR codes.
New Messenger
Shared Media Albums
Users can now create shared albums of images and videos in general Messenger conversations. To do this, you need to mark several pictures in the chat and select the “Add to album” option. Members will be able to view, add, delete and download media content in the album, which can be accessed through the "Media" button.
High-resolution photos
Finally, you can send photos in HD quality. The chat editor has a corresponding option that must be activated for each transferred photo separately. Last year, a similar function was implemented in the WhatsApp messenger.
Sharing Large Files
Messenger has emerged as an email alternative for sending large files. You can now send Word, PDF, Excel and ZIP documents up to 100 MB in size in chats. To do this, click the "+" button in the conversation and select the desired file on your device.
Communication via QR codes
Added the option to establish contacts by scanning QR codes. New features are available for Messenger mobile users.
