Respondents analyzed poems on 14 different aspects, including aesthetic value, emotional intensity, rhythmic structure and innovative approach. Participants were divided into three equal groups: one was told about human authorship, the second was told about the creation of texts by artificial intelligence, and the third was not provided with information about the source.
Research results
With awareness of the artificial origin of the poems, ratings noticeably decreased in all respects. However, the group that did not receive authorship information reported a higher quality of computer poetry.
