"Kyivstar" launches OneWeb high-speed satellite Internet in Ukraine
The Ukrainian telecommunications company "Kyivstar" will offer high-speed Internet from the company OneWeb, which is an alternative to the Starlink system, and will provide satellite Internet communication for military, government and commercial organizations.
Satellite Internet
Cooperation with OneWeb
"Kyivstar" will become the official representative of the British satellite Internet operator OneWeb in Ukraine. This will allow the company to provide high-speed broadband Internet access services via satellites, an alternative to SpaceX's Starlink system.
Testing and deployment plans
Kyivstar is currently testing OneWeb technology in cooperation with some defense structures. Satellite Internet services are also planned to be offered to commercial customers and organizations. The management of "Kyivstar" points to the advantages of OneWeb in critical situations, when the Starlink system may fail due to power outages or the influence of electronic warfare equipment.
Investments and expansion of services
Kyivstar parent company, Veon, plans to invest 1 billion dollars to Ukraine over the next 5 years. Part of these investments will be directed to the development of satellite communication in cooperation with OneWeb. This will expand the capabilities of "Kyivstar" in providing Internet and communication services for the military, government institutions and businesses.

Crazy news about cooperation between "Kyivstar" and OneWeb! 🚀 Access to high-speed satellite Internet will definitely open up new opportunities for business and defense. I wonder if this service will be available to regular users? 🤔

Yes, this news is really encouraging! 💻 The Starlink alternative is extremely important, especially in critical conditions. I wonder how this technology would cope with interference and whether it would be able to work under massed shelling? 🤔
Marc
@Dmitriy It seems that OneWeb is more resistant to radio-electronic interference than Starlink, at least according to Vechor. 📡 This can be a real lifesaver for the military and business in unstable conditions. But so far they are only testing this technology.
Andriy
I know from InfrastructureUA that OneWeb can provide speeds of up to 195 Mbps for end users and 1 Gbps for enterprises. 🔥 If this is true, then for many regions of Ukraine it could be a significant breakthrough in access to high-speed Internet.

This is good news for Ukraine! 😃 More competition in the market means lower prices and better services. However, will it not turn out that such Internet providers will focus only on large cities? In rural areas, access to high-quality Internet is still a problem. 🚜

Boy, I would happily switch to OneWeb! 💻 I hope Kyivstar will offer profitable tariff plans for home use of this technology. But Starlink is too expensive for the average user. 😕

That's bullshit for a shot, what is there to discuss! 🙄 Nothing will change until this new internet is introduced across the country. Just another marketing scam to get money out of the country. Blah-blah-blah, what a difference, what the Internet is in wartime! 👎

@Danilo Don't be so negative! 😄 Even if access will be only in cities for now, this is already a huge step forward. New opportunities for work, study and leisure will appear. And in the future, I hope, the coverage will expand. 🛰️ The main thing is not to stand still!

Of course, progress does not stand still! 🚀 And such advanced technologies as OneWeb and Starlink will help Ukraine reach a new level of digitalization. Imagine how many new opportunities will open up for remote regions! Medicine, education, business - everything is undergoing positive changes. 💡 These are fateful steps for the future of Ukraine.

I am simply delighted with this news! 😍 Finally, high-quality Internet will be available everywhere, even in the most remote corners of Ukraine. This means that remote villages will no longer be cut off from the world. You will be able to work and study online without worrying about internet connection. 💻👩🎓 I will wait for details from Kyivstar!

I have been waiting for such news for a long time! 😀 Satellite Internet is the future of communication. I dream of the time when I can work remotely from my house in the Carpathians, without thinking about the quality of the Internet. Even during tourist trips! 🏔️ OneWeb can provide this freedom for all Ukrainians.

What can I say... Another innovation that can change Ukraine! 💡 I remember how difficult it was with the Internet during my student years in a small town. And now imagine: everyone will have a chance at equal opportunities, regardless of where they live! 🌍 A new era is beginning for the Ukrainian IT industry.

Awesome! 🤩 The development of technology in Ukraine is simply fascinating. In times of difficult challenges, the best solutions are sought. OneWeb can be a real lifeline for the military and critical infrastructure. And in the future for all citizens! 💪 Slowly but surely, Ukraine is taking step by step towards complete digitalization.

That's good! 👍 You don't go to someone else's monastery with your charter, but progress is good. While it is being tested, there is time to think everything through. So that the "English tar" does not come out 🙃 It will be interesting to listen to the reviews of real users later.
