The Government of Ukraine intends to stimulate the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in priority sectors of the economy by allocating funds from the state and local budgets.

Insufficient use of AI
At the moment, only a small part of Ukrainian enterprises uses big data analysis and artificial intelligence intelligence. In 2021, only 4.2% of companies used such technologies, while in Europe the figure was 8% in April 2022. The government is looking to improve decision-making using AI.
Priority areas for the implementation of AI
Key sectors of the economy where active implementation of artificial intelligence technologies is planned intelligence are:
- mechanical engineering;
- chemical and petrochemical industry;
- coal industry;
- defense industry;
- nuclear industry;
- scientific and scientific-technical activities;
- agriculture;
- healthcare.
Plans and expectations
By 2026, the government plans to achieve the following goals:
- increase the number of Ukrainian companies providing services in the field of AI and create new jobs;
- publish a catalog of artificial intelligence technologies of domestic developers;
- create AI centers and laboratories to develop competencies in the use of these technologies among the population.
