Hubble Network: A Revolutionary Breakthrough in Satellite Communications Technology
The Hubble Network startup has successfully established direct Bluetooth connectivity with its own satellites, opening up new opportunities for various industries requiring remote asset monitoring with global coverage.
Satellite Bluetooth network
Revolutionary communications technology
Innovation company Hubble Network has made a technological breakthrough, becoming a pioneer in the field of satellite communications via Bluetooth. The startup successfully launched its first two satellites into orbit using the SpaceX Transporter-10 rocket in March of this year. The company confirmed the successful reception of signals from the built-in 3.5 mm Bluetooth chips at a distance of over 600 kilometers.
Wide range of applications
The advanced development of the Hubble Network opens up enormous prospects for various industries. The technology could find applications in logistics, livestock tracking, smart collars for pets, GPS watches for children, automotive devices, construction sites and soil temperature monitoring. The company initially plans to work with segments that require at least daily network coverage, such as remote asset monitoring in the oil and gas industry. As the Hubble Network grows its satellite constellation, it will turn its attention to sectors with a need for more frequent or continuous connectivity, such as soil monitoring or fall monitoring systems for the elderly.
Easy integration
After launching the service, the company's clients will only need to integrate additional code into the chipset of their devices to activate connection to the Hubble network. Thanks to an innovative phased array antenna that can be launched on small satellites, off-the-shelf Bluetooth chips are able to communicate with Hubble satellites.
Development plans
Hubble Network intends to continue building up its orbital constellation, planning the launch of the third and fourth satellites as part of the SpaceX Transporter-11 and Transporter-13 missions this summer. These four devices will form a “beta constellation” that will allow the first customers of the pilot project to begin integration. In the fourth quarter of 2025 or early 2026, the startup expects to simultaneously launch the next 32 satellites into orbit, making up the first full-fledged operational constellation. A total of 36 satellites will provide access to the Hubble Network approximately 2-3 hours a day from anywhere on the planet.

It's amazing! 🚀 The ability to connect via Bluetooth to a satellite opens up completely new possibilities for tracking and monitoring in remote locations or in conditions of limited network availability. Imagine being able to track the movement of livestock in remote areas or monitor the operation of equipment at remote sites.

Yes, this is very promising, but I am concerned about the issue of data security and confidentiality. 🤔 How do they plan to secure data transmission via satellites? After all, it could be vulnerable to interception.

Great question, Pierre! Security is really important, especially when transferring sensitive data. But I am sure that Hubble Network has thought about this aspect and will apply appropriate encryption and data protection measures. 🔒 After all, they partner with large industries where safety is paramount.

Hmm, this all sounds very futuristic and expensive. 💰 I doubt many companies will be willing to invest in such technology until it becomes more accessible and widespread. But who knows, maybe in a few years this will become the norm!

These new technologies are turning everything upside down! 🙄 What does Bluetooth and satellites have to do with it? Couldn't it have been possible to use already existing networks? Why complicate all this with new protocols and equipment? Personally, I prefer time-tested solutions.

Don't be such a skeptic, Ian! 😄 Innovations are always ahead of their time and seem strange at first glance. But it is thanks to them that we move forward and solve problems that cannot be dealt with using old methods. I look forward to seeing how this technology develops and is applied in real-world situations.

Well, I agree that this is an innovative technology with great potential. 💡 But don’t forget about possible problems, such as signal delays, limited bandwidth and dependence on satellite launches. Hopefully, Hubble Network will be able to address these issues as it develops its network.
