Galaxy Ring: a new smart accessory
Samsung finally presented its long-awaited smart ring Galaxy Ring. This innovative gadget will be part of the Samsung Health ecosystem and will help users track various health indicators. The ring is equipped with an accelerometer, a heart rate sensor and a skin temperature meter, which allows you to monitor sleep, movements during rest, heart rate, breathing and menstrual cycle.
The Galaxy Ring also has an interesting function of remotely controlling the camera shutter of Samsung smartphones. Available in three colors (black, silver, gold), the ring is made of titanium and weighs between 2.3 and 3 grams depending on the size. The battery can work up to seven days without recharging. The price of the device is $400, pre-orders have already started in the US, and official sales will start on July 24.
Fold6 and Flip6: a new generation of foldable smartphones
Samsung introduced new models of foldable smartphones - Galaxy Fold6 and Galaxy Flip6. The company claims that these devices are the thinnest and lightest in its line, while maintaining the strength of the construction. Both models are equipped with an improved Dual Rail joint on rails and a reinforced folding edge for better distribution of impact force.
The smartphones are powered by the AI-optimized Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Fold6 has a 7.6-inch screen with a brightness of up to 2600 nits, while the Flip6 has a 6.7-inch display. Flip6 received an improved camera with 50-megapixel wide-angle and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle modules. Both models support Nightography with HDR.
Galaxy Fold6 is available in silver-gray, pink and dark blue colors, and the price starts at UAH 79,999. Galaxy Flip6 is offered in silver-gray, yellow, blue and mint colors, with a starting price of UAH 49,999.
Artificial intelligence and Gemini integration
Samsung continues to develop the direction of artificial intelligence in its devices. The company has integrated Google's Gemini AI model into the new Fold6 series, which allows users to more efficiently organize trips, get information about tickets and hotels. AI also helps translate PDFs, generate text in the Samsung Keyboard, and edit photos.
Flip6 also got AI features, including the ability to generate responses to messages and improve photographs. Samsung emphasizes the security of user data with the Samsung Knox platform, giving the ability to choose whether to allow the use of personal data to improve AI performance.
New accessories: Buds3 and Watch 7
Samsung presented new models of headphones - Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro. They received an updated design with a "leg" for better fixation in the ear. The headphones support the AI translator function, which facilitates the study of foreign languages. Buds3 Pro are able to automatically analyze the surrounding noise and highlight important sounds, such as a human voice or a siren.
The company also presented new smart watches Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. Watch Ultra runs on Wear OS 5 and has a titanium frame, water resistance up to 100 meters and support for operation at altitudes from -500 to 9000 meters above sea level. Watch 7 received a new 3nm processor that provides better performance and energy efficiency.
