In the first half of 2024, Ukrainian viewers on the Megogo platform preferred a variety of content: from blockbusters and documentaries to sports events and audiobooks. Special attention was drawn to domestic films and broadcasts of important sports competitions.

The Megogo media service published the rating of the most popular content among Ukrainian users for the first six months of 2024. Viewers showed significant interest in broadcasts of sports events, including the boxing match between Usyk and Fury, Champions League matches and Euro-2024. In addition, attention was drawn to new Ukrainian and world premieres, as well as series, audiobooks and podcasts.
Cinema distribution leaders
"Dune: Part Two" took first place in the movies to buy category. The documentary "20 days in Mariupol" took the second place, setting a record for views among documentaries on the platform. The top five also included "Justice 3: The Last Chapter", "Oppenheimer" and "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom".
Among subscription films, the Harry Potter franchise has gained popularity again. Other favorites include The Auditor, The Swamp King's Daughter, The Hunger Games: Mockingbird and Serpents, and The Eternals.

In the subscription category, "Game of Thrones" again topped the rating. "Dragon House" and other HBO series such as "True Detective" and "The Heirs" were also popular.

Podcasts are dominated by news, history and sports topics. The most popular were the NV projects "War in Ukraine" and "Chronicles of Economy", the historical podcast "Without Declaration of War", as well as the sports projects "UA-Football", "F1Podcast" and "SportHub Eurofootball".
Sports broadcasts
The boxing match between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury became the most significant sports event. The rest of the rating was made up of football matches, in particular the games of the national team of Ukraine and the UEFA Champions League.
It is worth noting that during the broadcast of the match between the national teams of Romania and Ukraine within the framework of "Euro-2024" on June 17, a large-scale failure occurred on Megogo due to unfavorable weather conditions in Kyiv and a sharp increase number of user requests.
