Unexpected vulnerability of Tesla Cybertruck: the trunk door was deformed during normal cargo transportation
The owner of a Tesla Cybertruck encountered an unexpected problem: deformation of the rear trunk door when carrying cargo within the permissible weight limit, which casts doubt on the stated strength of the electric pickup truck.

Unexpected deformation
Many are skeptical cargo capabilities of the Tesla Cybertruck. A recent incident confirms these doubts.
A message has appeared on the Cybertruck owner's forum about a warped rear tailgate. This occurred during normal transportation of cargo not exceeding the established weight limits.
Owner's Experience
User xhawk101 shared his experience: "I would like to warn everyone about transporting items. I have checked that the weight is not exceeds the limit, but due to the displacement of the cargo, there appears to be excessive pressure on the trunk door, which led to its deformation."
He noted that the doors were still closing, but there was a gap. The trunk was loaded with 10-foot-long composite planks. a load of more than 1,130 kg, which is “equivalent to the weight of an average African elephant.” The company also claims an "ultra-hard stainless steel exoskeleton that reduces dents and damage." However, the owner's experience shows that the trunk was not strong enough even to transport wooden flooring.
Unexpected consequences
The owner expressed regret and noted that he would not have transported the boards if he had known about the possible consequences. Apparently the load was not secured as it shifted when accelerating using Tesla's cruise control.
Not meeting expectations
Despite the declared super strength of the body, it could not withstand the load within the permissible weight limit. There are many situations that require sudden acceleration, and the lack of warnings about possible deformations raises questions. This is especially true for a car advertised as heavy-duty and costing around $100,000.

So much for the ultra-durable body of the Tesla Cybertruck! 🙄 He just can’t transport the boards without deforming them. For that kind of money you expect more.

Diego, I agree! This is a pickup truck, it must withstand loads. Maybe we should look at other models? The Ford F-150 Lightning, for example, seems more reliable 🤔

Guys, don't rush to conclusions. The problem may be that the load is not secured correctly. The owner himself admitted that the boards had moved. We need to wait for Tesla's official response 🧐

Klaus, you're right, but still... The Cybertruck is positioned as super rugged. Even if the load has shifted, such an expensive car should be able to handle such situations, right? 🤷♀️

Come on, these are the first copies. I'm sure Tesla will quickly fix this problem. Remember what happened with the Model 3 at the beginning of production? Now this is a great car! 😊
Olivia
Giovanni, your optimism is commendable, but $100,000 for a car with such problems? This is a bit over the top. I hope Tesla reacts really quickly and fixes the shortcomings 🤞

Blah blah blah, another flaw from another overrated brand. Normal pickup trucks have been hauling cargo for decades without problems. And then there is a scratch from the boards, and everyone is shocked. Funny 😒

Henryk, don't be such a pessimist! 😄 Yes, there is a problem, but this is a step towards progress. Electric pickups are the future, and someone has to be a pioneer. Tesla will take into account the mistakes and make the Cybertruck even better! 💪
