YouTube has introduced a new Jump ahead option, giving paid subscribers the opportunity to use artificial intelligence algorithms intelligence to rewind the least interesting or unnecessarily prolonged episodes in long videos. This feature is based on the analysis of viewer behavior and allows you to skip over insignificant and boring parts, quickly moving on to the most exciting moments.
Gesture activation
To activate Jump ahead, the user just needs to double-tap the screen, similar to the fast forward command. After this, a special button in the form of a tablet will be displayed in the lower right corner, clicking on which the video will move to the next interesting episode according to the collective analysis of views of this video.
Customize your experience
Currently, Jump ahead only works with English-language content and does not is supported on every video - to activate it, a significant number of views for a given video are required. Subscribers can enable this experimental feature in the settings section of the YouTube mobile app for Android in the US. The option will be available until June 1 as part of testing.
