After the merger, the leading Ukrainian companies "Datagroup", "Volya" and lifecell will receive significant investments from international financial organizations to support further development and modernization of the infrastructure.

Financing of the combined company
General Director of "Datagroup-Volia" Mykhailo Shelemba reported that under during the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine in Berlin, they agreed on financing the joint company's projects in the amount of up to $435 million. These investments will be provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Targeted use of funds
The allocated funds will be directed to support the convergence of fixed and mobile communications communication (FMC), increased investment in the combined network of companies, as well as the purchase of licenses and equipment for the expansion of fixed and mobile infrastructure after the completion of the agreement on the purchase and combination of companies.
Thanks to investors
Mykhailo Shelemba expressed gratitude to the EBRD and IFC for supporting Ukraine and Ukrainian business in difficult wartime. He also thanked NJJ Holding and Xavier Niel personally for believing in the development potential of Ukrainians.
Next steps
Currently, "Datagroup-Volia" is waiting for the decision of the Antimonopoly Committee to merge with lifecell and is considering the possibilities of building the network and entering the fixed Internet market. In general, the agreement on the purchase of "Datagrup-Volia" and lifecell will bring $1.5 billion of investment to Ukraine.
