Calculator and improvements
The long-awaited calculator
14 years after the release of the first iPad, Apple has finally added a built-in calculator to the operating system. Thanks to this, users no longer need to download third-party applications even to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Improved interface
The calculator in iPadOS 18 is similar to the app available on iOS, but additionally supports Apple Pencil. With the Math Notes feature, users can write down math expressions with a stylus and the program will solve them automatically.
Improve handwriting
Apple introduced Smart Script, which uses machine learning to improve appearance of handwritten text. The application is able to reproduce the user's handwriting, check spelling and write down the typed text in the desired handwriting.
Personalization and navigation
Like iOS 18, iPadOS 18 introduces new ways to personalize your Home screen and a personalized Control Center. A customizable pop-up menu has also been added to make app navigation easier.

Ha, calculator! 🧮 Finally! I didn’t think that in 2024 this would still be news for Apple. Better late than never, I guess...

Why all these excesses? 😒 A regular calculator would work great even without newfangled functions. And these antics with personalization are complete nonsense to distract attention.
