Revolutionary Modos Paper Monitor: An Incredible Digital Reading Solution
Startup Modos Tech has unveiled a new monochrome monitor, Paper Monitor, based on high-resolution, open-source electronic ink, designed for long-term work without strain on the eyes.
Ink screen
Secure document reading
Modos Tech has created a unique monitor based on electronic ink (E-ink) technology ink), which is designed for comfortable work with text materials. The display has several advantages over traditional LCD screens, including lower eye strain, allowing you to work on documents for long periods of time without fatigue. The developers took into account the needs of professionals such as writers, programmers, students, doctors and engineers who need a specialized display for long-term work.
Flexible image settings
Modos Paper Monitor is a 13 diagonal monochrome electronic ink display .3 inches and a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. The screen supports a 60Hz refresh rate and offers a minimum latency of less than 120ms. Users can select a variety of display modes, including black-and-white binary, Bayer diathering and blue noise anti-aliasing, as well as 4- and 16-level grayscale to achieve the most convenient display of text or multimedia content.
Open platform for developers
The Paper Monitor project is built on open source code and is focused on enthusiasts and developers who want to create their own solutions based on electronic ink technology. Developers can customize Modos software and hardware to suit their needs. The current version supports DVI inputs via Micro HDMI and USB Type-C DisplayPort Alt-Mode.

Nobody needs these newfangled things! In our time, people worked on ordinary CRT monitors and nothing, their eyes did not get tired. Waste of money 😒

Gregory, you just haven’t tried working on an E-ink display! Believe me, the difference is colossal. In addition, this monitor has low latency, which is very important for many tasks. 💻⌨️
