Android 15 Beta 2: "Private Apps" Feature on Pixel, OnePlus and Xiaomi
Android 15 Beta 2 has been released with new privacy features, improved performance, and interface improvements.

Private space
The new version of Android 15 introduces the "Private Space" mode, which allows you to create a separate area for selected applications. It limits outsiders' access to these programs by hiding or blocking them. Access to the private area is protected by biometric authentication or by entering a password other than unlocking the device. Notifications and app data in this mode are isolated from the rest of the smartphone.
Performance and functionality
Android 15 Beta 2 expands support for larger page sizes to 16 KB , which will improve the performance of devices with increased RAM. The update adds taskbar pinning, application pairing, and the ability to select languages and system gender settings. Also improved is app access to media files, smooth transition to picture-in-picture mode, and discrimination between notification types by vibration.
Security and improvements
Android 15 will feature Theft Detection Lock feature which, using an accelerometer and AI, recognizes the situation when the phone is taken out of your hands and automatically blocks it. Additionally, the update includes changes to how apps can access system services, improved support for the AV1 codec, and other interface improvements.

Honestly, I don't even have time to keep up with all the new Android releases, but this Private Space feature looks very useful. 🔒 Finally, it will be possible to hide personal applications from prying eyes and children. Previously, you had to bother with passwords for each application separately.

Ha, that's definitely a useless function! 🙄 As if anyone would actually use this “private space”. Just a fashionable feature for hype on social networks. I'm much more interested in improved performance due to support for larger page sizes.

I can't wait to use the new language settings in Android! 🌍 Finally, the system will address me in the feminine gender, it’s so nice. Plus, I often switch between Italian and English, and multi-language support is very useful.

Come on, useless bells and whistles again! 😒 For example, I use a smartphone for work and entertainment, and it doesn’t matter to me what kind of system it calls me. The main thing is that it works quickly and without brakes.

Bro, you just don’t understand how cool the new features in Android are! 🔥 For example, these improved vibrations for notifications are really fire! Like, I will have different vibrations for different chats, so in any situation I will understand who to communicate with.

I don’t know, I haven’t really figured out the new features yet, but I was very interested in improving access to media files. 🖼️ I hope that after the update I will be able to find and share photos with my loved ones faster and easier. Hooray, more time for memories!

Why are you all so obsessed with these cosmetic changes to the interface? 🤨 As a programmer, improvements in application access to services are much more important to me. It may finally become easier to access third-party APIs from your applications. I don’t even dream of normal documentation on this issue.

The coolest thing is the new theft lock feature! 🤯 Imagine, if the phone is snatched from your hands, it will automatically be locked, and attackers will not be able to do anything with it. It's a shame it's not in this beta yet, but they say it's coming soon. Finally feeling secure in my brand new Pixel!
