AMCU refused the French company to buy lifecell
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) did not approve the agreement according to which the French company DVL Telecom was to acquire control over the Ukrainian mobile operator lifecell, as well as over the companies "Global Bilgi" and "Ukrtower", which are part of the "Lifecell" group. This is reported on the department's website.

- AMCU found grounds for blocking the deal with lifecell and Ukrtower. In addition, the sale of Global Bilgi also cannot be carried out as it is included in the same agreement.
- In the process of considering the application, the committee had to check the relationship of the "Lifecell" group with Turkcell, which is under the sanctions of the National Security Council.
"On March 7, 2024, AMCU began consideration of the concentration case, namely the purchase of control over Lifecell, Global Bilgi and Ukrtower" by "DVL Telecom" company. At the same time, consideration of the issue of coordinated actions related to this agreement has been started," the message says.
It is noted that AMCU approved DVL Telecom to purchase control over Datagroup-Volya.
In December 2023, it became known that the French company NJJ, which includes DVL Telecom, acquired the Ukrainian assets of Turkcell - the mobile operator lifecell, the call center network of Global Bilgi LLC and the operator of mobile towers "Ukrtower" LLC.
In January, AMKU returned an application from NJJ Capital to purchase lifecell, as the attached documents did not meet the requirements. The application did not contain enough information to be considered, the committee was told.
