Kyivstar will officially introduce the British company OneWeb in Ukraine, which will provide high-speed satellite Internet, an alternative to Starlink from SpaceX. OneWeb technology will be tested for the needs of the country's defense and will be made available to businesses in the future.

Cooperation with OneWeb
Ukrainian telecommunications operator Kyivstar will receive the status of an official representative of the British company OneWeb in the territory Ukraine. This will allow the provision of high-speed broadband satellite Internet services, offering an alternative to SpaceX's Starlink solution. Konstantin Vecher, director of Kyivstar for work with the corporate segment, spoke about this at the BUSINESS WISDOM SUMMIT.
Military testing
OneWeb technologies are currently being tested with defense forces Ukraine. According to Konstantin Vecher, there are requests from areas related to the Armed Forces, where Starlink services do not always meet the needs in critical conditions. The OneWeb satellite network is capable of providing high-speed Internet even in unusual situations.
Problems with Starlink
Earlier, General Director of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky reported problems with the operation of Starlink during massive shelling and power outages in Kharkov due to the destruction of critical infrastructure. It turned out that Starlink terminals do not function in areas of electronic warfare activity.
